Information on the Vehicle Washing System

Ordering cleaning, the course of cleaning itself, and taking over a cleaned tank:

  • Tank cleaning is ordered by the vehicle driver according to his or her forwarding company’s instructions right at the vehicle washing system, so the driver is recognized by the vehicle washing system as a person authorized to order cleaning and subsequently also to take over and inspect the tank after cleaning and as a representative of the company of the client who is ordering cleaning.

  • For the vehicle washing system office fax number and e-mail address for the purpose of sending an offer for cleaning, other instructions, MSDSs, etc., please see “Contact”.

  • A driver orders vehicle cleaning using a separate order and confirms it by his or her signature; for the “Order for Cleaning” form, which is also provided on these pages, please see “Order for Cleaning”.

  • When ordering any cleaning, a driver indicates and shows documents concerning the product to be cleaned (the CMR, the loading list, the MSDS, and the like). The appropriate technological process of cleaning is selected on the basis of this specification.

  • A driver shall indicate the next product which will be loaded into the cleaned tank in the cleaning specification; the selected cleaning process will be rechecked and evaluated on the basis of this.

  • The condition of a tank before cleaning is always checked by the vehicle washing system workers and on the basis of the initial tank condition before cleaning the following cleaning process is re-evaluated and photographs of any abnormal conditions of the tank found are taken.

  • If a driver fails to indicate the next product to be loaded into the tank cleaned, only standard cleaning off the last transported product is always made by the vehicle washing system and so it is only possible to load products of related nature into the tank when loading it next time! After standard cleaning, in no case it is possible to load products which are highly chemically pure, products having properties of solvents or cleaning agents more efficient than the cleaning process itself, products incompatible with the previous product even in a trace amount, and the like.

  • For the product which the KOVOPROGRESS vehicle washing system cleans or does not clean, please see “What Materials We Clean / Do Not Clean”.

  • If a driver requires special cleaning, e.g. for a highly pure chemical product, it is always up to the vehicle washing system workers to take a professional decision whether the system is able, from the technological viewpoint, to provide such cleaning in the required quality of cleanliness reached; if not, such cleaning is refused.

  • The vehicle washing system always refuses to clean off incompatible substances, such as “food / ADR substances”! They will only carry out standard cleaning off the last transported product.

  • The vehicle washing system follows the transport chain rule: The transport of a product ends with cleaning the tank.

  • The vehicle washing system observes the EFTCO guidelines defining a cleaned tank.

  • A driver is obliged to inspect the cleaned tank in person when called upon by the vehicle washing system operator and is obligated not to take over the work when in doubt about the quality of cleaning performed and to require repeated cleaning until the required quality of cleaning is reached.

  • Instrument case assemblies and filling hoses are cleaned according to the driver’s cleaning specification; if
a cleaned filling hose has no serial number, such fact is indicated on the ECD concerning such cleaning.

  • The driver is the last person who comes into contact with a cleaned tank in the vehicle washing system.

  • We recommend that a driver uses services of sealing the tank domes and drains after the cleaning of the tank was carried out and taken over by the driver; the seal numbers are indicated on the ECD issued.

  • By undersigning and taking over an ECD issued concerning tank cleaning, the driver takes over the work and also assumes the responsibility for the cleaned tank at that moment – according to the EFTCO guidelines.

The aforementioned cleaning ordering process and the observance thereof minimise potential problems

and complaints in future and apply to all entities involved in the repeated product distribution chain:
